The Football Program operates under the overall RYS philosophy of “Giving Kids a Sporting Chance”. The objectives of this program are to develop the physical and mental well being of the individual, to increase self-confidence and self-respect, and to encourage leadership development. We wish to develop better citizens through team play and sportsmanship-like competition. Provide a quality physical education program, allow every youth player to participate, and develop their skills to the extent they desire. We teach a positive attitude toward competition and discourage the “win at all costs” attitude. The goal is to teach each player that they are a winner if they give their best effort-regardless of the score.

Registration ranges from $90 to $150, depending on the league.

RYS can only assure sibling requests. RYS will do it's best for all other requests. 

This includes game night choices. Nights of play for the various leagues are driven by player registrations, team, and volunteer coach availability.  Players must play on their assigned team and night.  

All ages for league eligibility are based on a September 1st cutoff date. For example, if a player turns 11 years old before September 1st, they are eligible to play in the Minor League. If they turn 11 after September 1st, making their eligible age 10, they would be eligible to play in the Prep League.

RYS has many different age levels of play.

1 Game per week on Saturdays

Ages 4 & 5

1 Game per week on Wednesday or Thursday

Ages 6 & 7

2 Games per week on Monday/Thursday

Ages 8-10

2 Games per week on Tuesday/Friday

Ages 11 & 12

2 Games per week on Wednesday/Saturday

Ages 13-15 (15 year old kids can play if they did NOT play for their high school team)
